Betty’s family came to Texas from Germany in the early 1830’s before Texas was even a Republic. Back in those years, Texas was part of Mexico called Coahuila y Tejas. Her earliest family member, Peter Pieper’s log cabin has been preserved under the roof of the new Texas Historical Commission’s Museum at San Felipe Texas. Betty’s Grandmother’s Grandparent’s home is now the Museum of Texas Handmade Furniture in New Braunfels Texas. Another family home is the Valentine Hoch home in Hochheim Texas which served as the Stagecoach Inn on the Indianola to Austin Texas stagecoach line. Hew Swedes came to the Austin Texas Travis County area about 1873. No wonder Betty is now a Certified Historic House Specialist with Advanced Training. She loves Texas history and preserving Texas Historic Homes. Betty has sold and preserved many notable historic homes including the exquisite Murray Burleson home on the banks of the Colorado River in Smithville Texas as well as the A.S. Mason home in Leander Texas. Nothing brings Betty more joy than getting historic homes safely into the hands of a person who will continue to preserve and maintain these fine relics of Texas times long ago. learn more about Betty’s Texas History and Historic Homes here http://www.texashistorichomes.com/

Years ago Betty noticed a real need for someone trained and experienced to help disabled home buyers find suitable homes. Through her SRES training, Betty learned about Aging In Place and Universal Design and believes these should be the basis of every home. She works diligently to find homes and builders for people with disabilities who need wide doorways, no carpet, roll in showers and more to live life to the fullest. One of her clients built a custom, fully accessible home replete with a roll in swimming pool. Betty has helped many buyers and sellers over the years with accessible homes and knows the builders and architects who can help.

Betty enjoys organic gardening, xeriscaping, native plants, walking in beautiful parks, ranches and greenbelt spaces; riding horses; time with my children & grandchildren; reading; bargain shopping; going to Whole Foods, Central Market and Farmer’s Markets; traveling; enjoying life in Texas and the beautiful Hill Country. Though Betty has found herself at home in Leander Texas, she works a very broad area of Texas. http://www.athomeinleander.com/

Betty holds an Associate Degree in Mental Health from Del Mar College, a BA degree presented with Honors from Texas A&M Corpus Christi as well as many Master’s level hours in counseling. Betty is interested and involved in water conservation and water use planning; she volunteered as a Commissioner on the Leander Planning and Zoning Commission for many years and was also on the Board of Directors for the Museum of Texas Handmade Furniture in New Braunfels, Texas. Betty is also a Texas Master Naturalist so she volunteers her time identifying plants, teaching people about Texas nature including how to create a Certified Wildlife Habitat and Pollinator Garden and Xeriscape with Texas Native Plants. Betty is a member of the Leander Garden Club, the Austin Scandinavean Club, the Austin Carl Widen VASA Lodge. Yes, betty is never bored! : ) http://www.bettysellsaustin.com/

Wow! This is my word for Betty, she is just amazing. When I called her, she got right back to me and we met that weekend. She was well prepared and willing to spend the time with me to educate me on the selling of my home. She helped me prepare my home and then staged it beautifully for the pictures online. We put it on the market and had a full price offer in less than 24 hrs. We received several more over the next couple of days so boom- it was SOLD for way more than I ever thought possible! She has guided me through the entire process of selling my home, marketing, handling offers, counter offers, accepting offers and the closing and made it seem so easy and smooth. She even knew the best wording to ensure our well over full price contract got to closing! Every question I had, she answered honestly and promptly. All the details that I would never thought of, Betty did. If I ever moved back to Austin, Betty is who I would call to find me a new home. I cannot recommend her highly enough, she went above and beyond what I expected. Thank you Betty! You are an Outstanding Realtor!

Betty Saenz was professional, persistent, and extremely knowledgeable! Communication was important as I live in Phoenix and selling my house in Hutto. Betty took care of the entire process and made things so convenient and efficient. Her expertise in staging and marketing was second to none. Her beautiful professional photos and video was critical at getting the best offers and attention. Within two to three days of a sign and videos/pictures going live, I had three offers with one that was over 100% of our asking price. Betty was very aggressive to ensure I got the top offers. When things did not work out as planned she always had a backup plan already in place to ensure success. I trust her and recommend her to anyone looking to sell their home. You will not be disappointed!

We would like to express our appreciation for your help selling our green, high performance home. From our initial meeting where you explained what we should expect to handing over the keys to the new owner, your help made the whole process go smoothly.
Your understanding of — and appreciation for — rainwater collection, solar systems, and native plantings ensured that we got the best market exposure possible. Your advice in staging and choice of photographer resulted in a beautiful online representation of our home.
We are really glad that we choose you to be our realtor. You helped us through the experience as smoothly as possible. We enthusiastically offer our recommendation for any who are considering becoming future clients.
